Darwin exchanged letters with nearly 2000 people during his lifetime. These range from well known naturalists, thinkers, and public figures, to men and women who would be unknown today were it not for the letters they exchanged with Darwin. The Darwin Correspondence Project is based at the Library in the University of Cambridge and has made the text of many of his letters available online.
We designed the logo for the project based on Darwin’s signature on a cheque to his greengrocer. We also build the site using Joomla with custom development from the University’s technical team.
During the first week of launch the site received over 10 million hits!
